The Laurens County Planning Commission is appointed by the Laurens County Council. One (1)representative from each of the seven (7) Council Districts is desired to be seated on the Planning Commission but, alternative nominees are accepted. Appointment terms run with the duly elected County Council Districts, and can be reappointed.
The Planning Commission is responsible for making recommendations to County Council on a variety of issues such as the Comprehensive Plan, enforcement ordinances and any requested research delegated by County Council.
The Commission meets in the Conference Room of the Hillcrest Square County Administrative Offices every third (3rd) Tuesday at 5:30 P.M. each month.
